WATER JET CUTTING SERVICES
When water is pressurized up to 60,000 pounds per square inch (psi) and forced through a tiny opening, it can cut a variety of soft materials including rubber and foam. When small amounts of abrasive particles, such as garnet, are mixed into the jet stream, the resulting “abrasive water jet” can cut virtually any hard material such as metal, composites, stone and glass.
With our Flow model WMC 4030, Dynamic Water Jet Machining Center, H&S can handle most any water jet cutting requirement for a wide variety of materials:
- Cuts virtually any material
- Cuts up to 6” thickness
- No heat affected zone (HAZ)
- Working Envelope 120” X 156 ”
The Flow WMC is equipped with a “Dynamic Cutting Head” which articulates as it travels along the cut line to provide a vertical cut with virtually no taper on the finished part.
